The photographic and sound installation Pavillons et totems [Pavilions and totems] invites the spectator to explore the former Franco-Belgian mining area from the perspective of a little-known heritage, bearer of lived and legendary stories. The places and architectures photographed do not at first glance say what they are or celebrate. The inhabitants tell, project themselves into the images, digress; other images emerge, mental ones this time.
Listen to the audio part of the installation – a 190 minutes loop track of voices (in french) – on Soundcloud.
